The Osprey have been bonkers around town the last month; the adults and juveniles are screaming and eating all day.
This post will be short, but lots of photos of Osprey will follow.
Highlights
- Three new lifers
- 201 – Least Sandpiper
- 202 – The bitch Purple Martin motherducker. (I’ve heard this guy for over two years but never saw one until they decide to fly over my head for 10 minutes.)
- 203 – Wood Duck – Of course instead of the beautiful duck, I get the male in drab escape plumage. But I’ll take him.
- Peregrine Falcon sighting; in town and later at the water destroying a western gull.
- Blue Heron walking around with a vole
- A wall of brown pelicans diving near Gualala Island… which led to my first semi-good Osprey catching a fish photo.
